Fernando García Dory / INLAND

INLAND Campo Adentro is a collaborative agency initiated in 2009 by Fernando GarciaDory. It provides a platform for diverse actors involved in agricultural, social and cultural production. Currently INLAND functions as a collective focused on land-based economies and community practice as a substrate for post-contemporary art and cultural forms.

Their practice has been presented at the Istanbul Biennial; Casco, Utrecht; the Maebashi Museum, Japan; Contemporary Arts Glasgow, MALBA, Buenos Aires; Matadero Madrid, Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellin, Serpentine Galleries, London; Pompidou Paris; Savvy, Berlin; Cittadelarte, Milan; Casa do Povo, Sao Paulo; Baltic Art Centre, UK, Museo Madre, Naples, documenta13 and documenta fifteen.

Drawing on his practice as an artist and agroecologist within the INLAND collective, Fernando García Dory uses the walls of the gallery to overturn the memory of a series of actions on the territory. Through a series of charcoal drawings, conceived specifically for the gallery space, a group of characters, utensils, processes and landscapes display the complex heritage of rural work. Alongside them, the shapes and textures of a beehive offer the possibility of an expanded socio-natural reverie.
